Microsoft Keyboards Suck

More of a short rant than anything resembling a big blog post. About two months ago I bought a Micro$oft wireless keyboard and mouse set, model number 700, and it sucks royal ass. Do not buy this thing. The mouse drains the two AA batteries in about three weeks (when it works), and the keyboard has buttons that constantly stick, making it hard to type faster than 20 wpm. Be warned - I knew I should have bought Logitech...

God I know. I'm at my father's work right now and I just called my friend who's gonna meet me for lunch and asked him to bring my keyboard from home.

The mouse is great, but the keyboard does indeed suck. It works fine for a while, but over time begins to lag out, and certain keys stop responding unless you either a) mash them extra hard, or b) re-connect the 'board with the base station.

I'm looking at getting a wired Saitek Eclipse II LED backlit keyboard. I hear good things about it.

I will never use a wireless keyboard no matter what company makes it. Unless your computer is set up to a TV and you are using it from a sofa, I can't see any reason to broadcast your passwords to the world and sacrifice keystrokes. A quality wireless mouse with a docking station, on the other hand, can be useful.
